Introduction

The shell is a program, that provides users with a command prompt. Different shells behave differently. GhostBSD comes with different shells. The file /etc/shells contains the following list:

  • /bin/sh
  • /bin/csh
  • /bin/tcsh
  • /usr/local/bin/zsh
  • /usr/local/bin/rzsh
  • /usr/local/bin/ksh93
  • /usr/local/libexec/git-core/git-shell
  • /usr/local/bin/fish
  • /usr/local/bin/bash
  • /usr/local/bin/rbash
