| Installing Applications |
In GhostBSD, software can be installed with pkg add, pkg install or software-station:
- The
pkg addcommand is used to extract pre-built binary packages from a local file or from a remote server on the network. However, most users utilizepkg installto install applications from the official GhostBSD repository. - There are over 32,000 applications in GhostBSD's Ports. These applications can be readily accessed via software-station.
