GhostBSD has started as a hobby from Eric Turgeon.

His wish was and is until now to create a desktop operating system that is based on the BSD universe.
As main desktop he choose MATE.

This desktop environment is the main target of Eric. It is simply a question of manpower.

There are a lot of developers around the world how are interested in GhostBSD and show how to install other desktop environments.
